About Digital Signet

Oliver has worked in software for more than twenty years, as a developer, tech lead, engineering manager, architect and engineering lead. He has delivered platforms for organisations in satellite communications, UK media and broadcasting, sports media, water utilities and UK industrial engineering, among others, and has scaled teams, modernised legacy platforms and introduced continuous delivery where there was none.

In 2025 he stopped taking full-time roles and founded Digital Signet, because AI changed what a single experienced engineer could deliver. The agents write most of the code. He writes the specifications, directs the work, reviews what comes back and stands behind the result.

Alongside client work, Digital Signet has built its own estate: 501 live domains and 381 deployed sites as of the 23 September 2026 audit, most of them cost and pricing reference sites with sourced, dated figures. That estate is where the method on this site was worked out, and it is public, so you can judge the work directly. The work page has the details and the outside checks.

The name is the method. A signet is the ring that presses a seal into wax, so a reader knows a document is genuine and who stands behind it. We put a date and a source next to every figure we publish for the same reason.
